Simple inexpensive photo coaster gifts

Supplies Needed:
Craft Glue that dries CLEAR
Water
Paint brush or sponge brush
16"x16" sheet of cork (found at craft store, comes in rolls and flat sheets)
4 - 4"x4" white tiles from Home Depot
4 - 4"x4" pictures or photos printed on paper
Clear spray paint/sealer
A little patience!

First you cut you photos or pictures printed on regular paper into 4"x4" squares. Photo paper and regular paper work.

Mix your white glue with a little water just to make it spreadable with a paint brush.

Paint a thin coat of the glue mixture on the tile then apply your photo on top of it.

Paint two additional coats of the glue mixture on TOP of the picture.

Let dry overnight.

SOMETIMES you will get bubbles. The only way I have found to deal with these is to apply more glue and apply pressure. It will make a little crease in the paper or photo and is usually undetectable.

Cut your cork into 4"x4" pieces. Apply craft glue to the wrong side of the tile and press your cork down. Let dry overnight.

Next in a well ventilated area, spray you tiles with the clear spray paint/sealer. I let this dry over night and applied another coat for protection.

You are done!

This craft easily costs under $10 for 4 coasters. Have fun!

You can also use pretty napkins instead of photos or print nice photos you find online as well.
