Yes, you read the title right. This post is dedicated to fashionable glasses. Before you scoff, stop giving glasses a bad rep. They are a new fashion must, popping up on celebrities even without prescriptions, just to “look cool.” Truly, glasses have become this season’s hot fashion accessory. (If you don’t believe me, here’s proof!)

Why wear glasses? The same reason sunglasses have been popular forever (and not just for blocking out the sun)—they draw attention to your face, they can be fun and funky in a way that doesn’t get out of hand, they reflect your style, and they are easy to change out—which makes a big impact. Just putting on a different pair of frames can totally alter your look.
How?
Even if you don’t have thousands of dollars to throw at the latest fad, you have the cash to spend on a few new pairs of eyeglasses—how? Thanks to the internet and its array of high-quality, low-cost glasses. Stick to generic frames, particularly for styles that are more on the “fad” side, and you will save big. Imagine having a pair of glasses for every day of the week—for less than the price of one pair of eyeglasses bought at an optician’s office. This is the power of the internet! Okay, now back to the celebrities and fashionistas of the world. The trends they’re setting now in glasses include the classic aviator, an oversized aviator (which stars Britney Spears, Demi Levato, and Avril Lavinge have recently rocked), and as always, the classic chic “hot librarian” look (as recently worn by Megan Fox and in her pre-prison days, Lindsay Lohan).
Of course, never forget the most important person in choosing a pair of glasses—you! Consider your own strengths and weaknesses when looking at frames. Glasses are like clothes—an outfit that looks terrible on one person can look great on another, and vice versa, because we are all unique. Same goes for eyeglasses. Your face shape, style, coloring, and other such factors need to be taken into consideration when you buy glasses. Simply highlight the part of your face you love best—if that’s your eyes, go with full-rimmed frames in bold colors that look good on you. And pay attention to colors, too! If a yellow shirt doesn’t look good on you, yellow glasses won’t either—stick with colors that you rock to look great.
