iDosing - Should parents be concerned?

This is totally off the topic for this week but I wanted to post about it. I heard on the radio this week the new way to get "high" called iDosing and if parents should be worried if their kids are "doing" it.

From what I can find online, iDosing is basically a music track you listen to with a series of sounds and tones that give you the feeling you are "high" but without the intake of drugs. It is a digital drug.

So should we as parents be concerned?
I ask my readers this.
There is no substance entering our children's bodies.
It is not illegal.

Is it harmful?

Owner of I-Doser.com, Nick Ashton, supports warning for parents.

"We have heard of that, and we agree. Any method that involved experiencing a simulated mood or experience should be taken seriously," he said.

"I-Doser.com is not dangerous, completely safe, but any user should be aware that this is causing a modification of mood," he stated.

I would be very concerned about iDosing, in the fact that while your not putting a drug into your system, in order to get the high feeling you are changing the chemical balance in the brain also known as the neurotransmitters. This could lead to a desire down the road for more of this feeling leading to drug use.

I have never heard of idosing before this post. There might be future studies that deem it harmful, but it this "high" any more dangerous than a runner's high or any other high caused by exercising? Doesn't seem too harmful unless the user becomes addicted and that's the only way that person can achieve happiness. Thanks for the interesting post!
